NAIA Quick Stats

What do you know about the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)? Did you know they have almost 300 colleges and universities in their association, spanning 13 sports? The NAIA schools work with over 65,000 student-athletes affording them the opportunity to play college sports and particiapte in 25  national championships. In addition, the NAIA colleges and universities provide over $500 million in athletic scholarships.


NAIA and NCAA Eligibility Centers

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) are 2 separate organizations. In order to play sports at teh collegiate level, you should register with BOTH organizations. To register with the NAIA you have to go to http://www.playnaia.org. Does the NCAA give athletic scholarships?

The quick answer to this question is no, the individual schools give athletics scholarships.  Something else you should know is that only Division I and Division II schools athletic scholarships. Division III do not offer athletic financial aid at all, but many student-athletes receive some form of academic grant or need-based scholarship.
